Ugh, but Tree of Life was a total mind dump. I hated every minute of it. Unless you’re into new-agey artsy fartsy stuff that hardly gives any meaning or significant storyline. Then it might just be your thing.
It’s not my thing. But this is the closest I’ve ever been to seeing all of the best picture nominees and I think it’d be fun just to say that I did. (True story: When I looked at the list, my first thought was, “Ugh, I guess this means I have to see The Tree of Life.”)
